Meet the Thames Orthodontics Team

At Thames Orthodontics, Dr. Allyn Thames and our skilled Auburn team combine expertise, compassion, and a little fun to make every visit a great one.

Shelley

Office Manager

Shelley, originally from Georgia, graduated summa cum laude from the University of West Georgia in Carrollton, Georgia, with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Accounting. She moved to the Auburn area in 2004 after finishing school.

She worked for a local accounting firm before joining Dr. Thames in 2010. Her favorite thing about working for Thames Orthodontics is being a part of a fantastic team!

Shelley lives in Auburn with her family and enjoys playing video games, scrapbooking, going to the gym, and spending time with her daughter.

Staci

Treatment Coordinator

Staci grew up on Lake Martin but spent the last 33 years in Birmingham before recently moving to Auburn to be closer to family. She has two daughters who attend Auburn University.

She earned her degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from UAB. She is excited to bring this knowledge and passion to her role as our new patient Treatment Coordinator.

When she is not helping patients, Staci enjoys spending time with her daughters, working on home renovations, gardening, and exploring local restaurants. She is also a big fan of Universal Studios and loves a good theme park adventure!

Staci values her faith and her love for her new community above all!

Mary Alyce

Lab Technician

As a lab technician, Mary Alyce is involved with the beginning stages of your treatment. Once your braces are removed, she is here to help you keep that beautiful smile you worked so hard for.

Mary Alyce is originally from Selma, AL. She moved to Montgomery in 1994 and to Auburn in 2017. She and her husband, Cason, have four children: Kayley, Cale, Mary Drue, and Graves. She also claims Miles, her maltipoo dog, as her fifth child.

Her favorite thing to do when she is not running or walking is sitting on the beach or just hanging out with her family. Mary Alyce and her family attend Church of the Highlands.

Anne

Front Desk / Marketing & Events Coordinator

Anne is originally from Montgomery and moved to Auburn in 2023. Anne joins our team after leaving her beloved church family at First United Methodist Church, where she worked for 18 years. She is very excited to start a new journey with Thames Orthodontics here in Auburn.

Anne and her husband, David, have three children who all attended Auburn University. She loves Auburn Basketball and makes sure she gets down to the beach as much as she can!

Mary Katherine

Originally from Montgomery, Mary Katherine and her family recently made the move to Auburn and joined our team as one of our scheduling coordinators.

She enjoys spending time with her daughter Aniston and her two sons, Oliver and Walker, and loves to watch them participate in their respective sports.

She spends quite a bit of her free time at the tennis courts or at the ball field. When not doing that, she loves the beach and watching reruns of Dateline!

Mary Katherine dedicated 18 years of her life to her love of anything and everything fitness as a personal trainer, but is excited to bring her kindness and compassion for others to the front desk at Thames Orthodontics!

Kate is another one of our talented clinical assistants here at Thames Orthodontics.

She, her husband Michael, and their son Kingston live in Opelik, where they love working on home projects together. Kate's favorite part of being an assistant is getting to know the patients and helping them gain their new smiles.

When Kate is not working, she also enjoys cooking, baking, and spending time with her two dogs, Agatha and Ruffles.

Lauren is another one of our talented clinical assistants. Her favorite thing about working at Thames Orthodontics is being able to help patients get the smile they deserve. She loves being able to give them an amazing boost of confidence.

Lauren and her husband have three little boys, Dylan, Tyler, and Jacob. They love to go on family vacations and spend time together. Lauren also enjoys cooking and fishing.
